Elements are organized into categories: Land (sand, dirt, stone, clay), Liquids (water, lava, acid, oil), Gases (steam, smoke, cloud), Solids (wood, metal, glass, ice), Life (plant, fungus), Energy (fire, plasma, torch), and Weapons (TNT, gunpowder). Switch between them instantly with the element panel at the bottom of the screen.

One of the most exciting parts of the simulator is discovering Sandboxels recipes — element combinations that produce unexpected results. Mix Sand + Fire to get Glass.
